A New NSA, A New Security Structure

A major change in India’s national security architecture could be in the offing. With Mr M K Narayanan who has been the National Security Adviser (NSA) for the past six years being replaced by Mr Shiv Shankar Menon. That there would be an overhaul of the security set up in the country with elevation of Shiv Shankar Menon as the NSA is evident as a new set of officers are coming up at the top who are relatively younger not just in age but also in approach and outlook and therefore more flexible to adopt to the changing international and internal security environment.
