Celebrating the Republic’s Achievements

The People’s Republic of China celebrated the 60th Anniversary in a grand fashion as only the Chinese know how to with colour, gaiety and military precision. While detractors abroad were critical of the heavy security, absence of the people who were advised to watch the show on television and harsh conditions under which rehearsals were carried out, the show on 1 October surpassed as per China watchers even the Beijing Olympics.
