At present the danger of a civil war or an armed confrontation in the country are low through the situation will remain volatile and has to be observed with caution for any signs of further deterioration. The Unified CPN M having completed the third phase of their agitation has also announced a Phase 4 for launching nationwide indefinite strike –from Jan 24, next year. This may create further crisis and law and order problems in the country. This could be avoided in case a compromise is worked out over the next few weeks or so.
