Indo Pakistan Relations

Talks were held between Foreign Secretaries of India and Pakistan during the month. This has placed the CBMs between the two countries on the right course. These had been derailed after the 7 July local train serial blasts in Mumbai. The key CBM thereafter has been setting up the Joint Counter Terrorism Mechanism which had created a furor in India on its announcement by the Prime Minister. The key factor will be political sagacity in the face of opposition at home.
