A Survey of Security: Continued Alert

Despite the fall in level of violence and reduced presence of militants, Pakistani support to infiltration in Jammu and Kashmir is continuing in an effort to push in maximum number of terrorists before the onset of winters with the first snows already closing down movement in the higher reaches. This has also been supplemented by cross IB operations in the Samba sector in Jammu a traditionally conflict prone zone where there have been incidents of IEDS in the past resulting in casualties.
